Position: OEM Sales Engineer

Position Type: Full Time
Location:
Rochester, NY USA

Description: Will work out of our Rochester office.  Territory will be Mid-West United States.  Identify and develop new OEM accounts.  Maintain, support and grow existing OEM customers.  Provide primary selling and customer support functions including:

  • Quotations: develop, deliver and follow-up
  • Sales Orders: close the sale, ensure accuracy and consistency of purchase order
  • Post-Sales support and customer service: work with customers and internal team to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements: BS/BA in Optics or Physics, or equivalent technical experience.  Sales and/or customer service experience.  Computer and keyboarding skills.  Able to travel 35% overnight.  U.S. Citizen/U.S. Person Required.

Position: Optical Technician

Position Type: Full Time
Location: Rochester, NY USA

Description: Full Time Precision Optical Technician - Entry Level Position.  Cut and shape glass into blank form in safe and efficient manner.  Block raw glass in preparation for cutting, core-drilling or surface grinding.  Operate hand/automatic saws, core drills, surface grinders and degreaser.  Effective communication skills, dependable, detail oriented.  Experience working with measurement equipment is a plus.  Eventually progress into other aspects of precision optics such as grinding and/or polishing.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalency.  Some precision optics experience preferred, but not required.  U.S. Citizen/U.S. Person Required.

Position: Optical Inspector

Position Type: Full Time
Location: Rochester, NY USA

Description: Full Time Precision Optical Inspector - Basic responsibilities involve the inspection, cleaning and packaging of optical components.  Must have excellent visual clarity.  At times may be required to work in a clean room environment.  Must be capable of handling and working safely with cleaning solutions and bonding materials.  Will be working in a close team environment.

Highly Desired Experience: Strong communications skills, proper handling and cleaning of optical elements, familiarity with inspection and scratch/dig standards and ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalency.  Basic computer skills.  U.S. Citizen/U.S. Person Required.
