now offers filters that pass only certain wavelength ranges. The standard
offering includes: red (600- 680nm), green (535-555nm) and blue (430-500nm).
Color filters are useful in machine vision applications where improvements in
contrast or changes in color temperature are needed.
Short/Long
Wave Pass Filter
JML
now offers long wave pass (LWP) and short wave pass (SWP) filters. These
filters are short cut-off filters that are distinguished by their high rate of
transition between their region of reflection and transmission. This high rate
of transition makes them an excellent choice as emission filters in
fluorescence applications, as order sorting filters in photometry and for
increasing contrast in machine vision applications.
UV/IR
Cut Filter
JML
also offers filters that allow elimination of wavelengths below or above a
certain value. A UV cut filter will transmit visible and infra-red radiation
while blocking UV. Our UV cut filter will transmit <5% of the intensity of
wavelengths <425nm. An IR cut filter will transmit <5% of the intensity
of wavelengths >710nm and is useful with machine vision applications
utilizing black and white cameras.
