When an application demands the best concentration of energy from a singlet, best-form laser lens elements produce the finest results. When operated at fast f-numbers, these specially designed lens elements focus a collimated beam to a spot whose diameter is smaller than the spot size achieved with plano-convex, bi-convex or meniscus singlets. Best-Form lenses bridge the gap in lens performance between basic singlet shapes and achromats. JML's best-form lenses are made from Grade A BK7 glass.
