SPHERICAL VS. ASPHERIC LENSES

HOW THEY’RE USED IN IMAGING APPLICATIONS

Optical Lenses are often categorized by their shape. Two common surface shapes are spherical and aspherical. Each offers unique characteristics that make it suitable for different use cases.

A mixture of photons and phonons, and operate in the range of frequencies from 300 gigahertz to approximately 10 terahertz. Differs from photonics in that the fundamental information carrier is a polariton.
